I want to go to school to be an electrician/carpentry or something along that field but my mom wont let me?

I start college in the summer but i dont wanna work in the field im going to school for. My moms saying noone would consider hiring me as an electrician/carpentry/construction cuz im a girl what should i do

stick with it.. it is what you want to do so do it.. if they have a problem w/ it bc you are a girl tell them to deal with it

join the IBEW and become an apprentice they are looking for women to join you can do very well for yourself

do what you think is right and feel that you want to do your living for you not your mom because in the end your gonna end doing what you want to do anyways
I know a couple of female electricians they do quite well
