What are the top 10 cities for union carpenters to find work?
The real estate market in Illinois (Chicagoland area) is slow right now, so there is not a big demand for new homes to be built. My boyfriend is a carpenter, he is in the union and does mainly residential work (framing). If he were to be laid off, what are the best areas in the U.S. for carpenters to find work? I would like the top 10 cities in the United States please - I tried to do a Yahoo! search and couldn't find a list of cities. Thank you :)

- New Orleans, and nearby areas, has to be high on the list.

- Tikrit, Basra, Baghdad,Fallaujah,Ar Ramadi,Kirkuk, Mosul,Karbala,Ba'Qubah, and Tawuq. Those are 10 very good cities for union carpenters. For the more productive non-union carpenters, I suggest places like New Orleans, Las Vegas, Miami, and other places like that.
