Is carpentry classes in college rated at a 100 level class so I can join the air force?
I am trying to join the air force and they said since I have a g.e.d. that I need 15 credits that are at a 100 level credit. The class is a college course and I will receive 15 credits through the course but will they be at a 100 level? I believe that it is at a 100 level all of the classes start with 111,112,113 and so on and they are all 3 credit classes I was just not sure if they were at a 100 level so since it has 100 in it is that how they conside it a 100 level? I know it sounds stupid but I just want to make sure before I take these classes, and I want to take classes that I know I will pass in 1 semester so I can join right after that.

- 15 college credits are 15 college credits.
- if the number in fornt of the course name is NOT 100 or higher.. than NO it is not. and the college itself may not be an acceptable place to get the classes anyway.
- Contact your local community college, you'll get those 15 credits in one semester if you take 5 3 credit courses. Keep in mind a lot of electives like carpentry may be just 1 or 2 credit courses. You may be doing yourself a favor by taking something like English and History so if you ever decide to attend college in the future you will have gotten some required classes done, or you can just take 15 credits of the easiest classes you can find just to get through. I don't know how you are academically but most colleges don't offer carpentry through my knowledge I may wrong, but it sounds more like tech school that you are trying for the carpentry. if any college will offer you carpentry likely it would be a community college course and you can take 200 level courses as well, don't just limit yourself to 100 level just to get the credits. Some community College courses have a lot of classes under the 100 level for those who are not quite ready for college classes and offer programs so make sure you are getting into a college level course when registration comes along. Best Wishes and thank you for volunteering to serve our country! I thank you on behalf of my family!
