How many moms-to-be put up the baby's crib with their husband/significant other?
I want to share that special moment with the baby's father, of course, but neither one of up are exactly what you'd call "carpentry savvy," i guess. So just to see, i was just wondering who did that or who had someone else... like their own dad... help them with it.

- Your question makes no sense.
- im a father to be and I will probably be the one setting up the crib, it does come with a step by step manual but even if neither of you can figure it out there are still plenty of other special things you can do to make your baby room great.
- I have no Idea what you are talking about
- I found it exiting to work with my wife putting my kids crib together. if your not mechanically inclined that's what instructions are for. most cribs are easy to assemble and don't take a lot of tools. just make sure it's sturdy when your done and it'll be fine. congratulations.
- my husband put our whole nursery furniture together and stroller. i wanted him to feel important and helpful. which he did, he was very proud of himself as so was i. im usually the one who assembles any item to come into our home. but i think it would be fun if the two of you assembled yours together since ur both as u said not "carpentry savvy" have fun and congrats!!!!!
- i would put it up with my partner, its not that difficult if you are not feeling up to it,see if ur father or his father will give you a hand. it doesnt really matter who puts it up tho
- My wife and I did it as we gave up on waiting for someone to come help us that supposedly knew what they were doing. It did have it moments of frustration trying to figure out the translated from chinese to english instructions and worrying that we would kill the child by not doing it right but hey... it all worked out. Wait till two of you put together the mini trampoline that takes three people according to the instructions. Outrider
- I was at work when my boyfriend secretly put up our sons crib...it took him hours tho and when i pulled up at home my mom came running out asking me to drive her to k mart... when we came back he brought me into the baby's room and showed me what he did ...he did have to call on a few family members to come over and help him tho...it was a nice that he wanted to surprise me!
- i'm not that good at carpentry, but i've put everything together for my daughter to be. your other half should find his father to be love and do it all! that's coming from another bloke i won't put in what my partner said!!!
- i dont understand. ur obviously illiterate
- Your question brought back happy memories and a much needed smile on this cold snowy Winter Day. I remember so well the happiness we felt when we brought the borrowed crib to our apartment. My husband took it and a chair for me into the room we had been preparing for our expected baby. ( At that time, it was not possible to know the sex of the baby before they were born.) I sat very happily and watched him assemble the crib. It was such a happy day. Thank you, so much, for asking such a sweet question.
- Babies cribs come with directions. It won't take a rocket scientist to figure them out. Just get you, your man and the instruction booklet in one room and slowly, step by step set it up. Try to put things neatly where you can get to them and have the tools you'll need all laid out. Be patient and it shouldn't turn into a mess.
