How Much Do Foreman Carpenters Make?

I want to work my way up in the carpenter field. I would like to at least make it to foreman. I hear the pay is about $70,000 a year, is this true? (I live in California) Also what higher positions are there in the carpentry field or is there a better way to make money as an experienced carpenter? Looking the make at least $70,000 a year. I am talking about being a Union Carpenter. So I am not worried about immigration. You have to have a high school diploma, and be good in algebra. You have to be legal. Not worried

  1. Its tough in California. The illegal immigrants are bringing down the wages considerably in that state.
  2. in new jersey they would average 42.00 per hour
  3. I currently make $35/hr as a finish carpenter in MA. Thats $72,800/year. As a foreman, I made $30/hr., but that was 5 years ago.
