How can I get Elmers Carpenters Glue to unbond?

I am building a project right now and I accidentally bonded two pieces of wood together where it shouldn't go. How can I get them to unstick. I tried banging them apart, I tried taking a knife through it and its just too hard. Someone please help!!!!!!

1. Try soaking in warm water if that doesn't damage the wood that is.
2. You could try using vinegar on it, vinegar is known for taking off sticky stuff. Rachel
