Learning Carpentry

I moved in to Detroit recently and waiting on my EAD.?

Is there any software,hardware or computer networking jobs that I can do from home.I'm fed up sitting home and not doing anything.I dont mind learning new skills like electrical,carpentry or anything mechanical if someone is willing to train me. all suggestions are welcome

1. Why would you wanna live in or near Detroit? Wayne County SUCKS and the crime rate has sky rocked and this is why we moved up north over the summer, it is peaceful and the crime rate is farrrr less up here. We just got back today as a matter of fact from the Detroit area (Wayne Westland area) and I can tell you that I am soooooooooo glad to be home finally. 3 Day's down state was toooooo long for me. By the way, what does EAD mean? Mary in Beulah, Michigan.
