Learning Carpentry

Carpentry courses in Reading, Berkshire?

Hi, I acknowledge that this is a bit of a long shot, however, I'm looking for a basic carpentry course, something that is fun and cheap or perhaps even free, as a sort of community service, if it exists. Does anyone know of any such programmes? Many thanks in advance!

1. i believe city and guilds do a short course in the basics
2. There is always volunteering for habitat for humanity, it's free. You can help someone in need and the contractors working the site will be glad to show you almost anything. Or you could go to Home depot and buy those do it yourself books. Hope this Helps
