What would be a good name for 2 quality minded carpenters who do trimwork on houses?

our names are doug and jake. we want a name that expresses our concern about quality work. our work inclues hanging doors, all trim(base , casing, crown, etc.) , stairs and cabinets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  5. I work with contractors for a living and the most reputable guys incorporate their names into their business name. If you're that good, keep it simple and let your reputations be built on the quality of your work. I like Doug & Jake's Trim Carpentry.
  6. well any name would be good really like ( all pro ) what you need to know is you guys build a good rep and the word will get around easy
  7. I like licensed, insured, bonded and quality work by DnJ. You could name it after the area you are in---have a son in law with his own company--Powder River. Your best bet to get started is word of mouth, do good work and it will pass along. I had a remodeling company and was never out of work from references--I did have business cards printed up and left some behind. You may need to have some extra hands on tap.
  8. ( town name) Carpentry. Don't forget to get on an advertising campaign once you decide. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, just that they call YOU!
  9. the use of your last names; smith & jones interior carpentry, and a catchy ad line like, "we cut all kinds of corners, but not quality." or "we put the finish in carpentry." or "old world quality,new world technology." good luck!

  18. When choosing a name for a business you should consider how will your potenial customers find you. Does your name say what you do? Does it stand out from all the D & J Builders of your area (the first letters of the owners names)? The more specific you are, the more chance someone will pick your business to call when looking for your expertise.
